Receiving the news that our clients, S4C and Arriva Trains Wales, were up for awards at this year’s CIM Canmol Wales Marketing Awards – that was exciting. Being at the ceremony to celebrate alongside them as both won in their respective categories – well that was simply priceless.

 

The Canmol Wales Marketing Awards celebrate Welsh brands that create and deliver the best in powerful marketing campaigns – acknowledging innovative ideas, effective execution and outstanding results.

 

As we announced last month, S4C made it on the finalists list in the “arts, heritage and creative industries” category. We provide the unique national broadcaster with our media planning and buying services, building multi-platform campaigns that get the brand noticed. Arriva Trains Wales were competing in the “tourism, hotels, leisure, place & destination marketing” category. The Welsh transport organisation also turn to us for our media services and in the last year have started working with our design team, creating the first TV advertising campaign the brand has delivered in 5 years.

 

At the heart of marketing is identifying a brand’s target audience, reaching them with a key message and prompting desired behaviour. Our media and design work plays a key part in addressing this challenge for S4C and Arriva Trains Wales. We were therefore especially keen to attend the champagne-fuelled event and support the associated marketing teams as they hit the stage to collect their awards.
